Taxis in Berlin
Berlin has compulsory tariffs for all taxis which apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to pay according to the taximeter. The basic price is 3.90 EUR + 2.00 EUR/km (1.50 EUR/km from the 7th km).
Waiting period: 30.00 EUR/h, also applied for traffic related waiting periods.
Short distance rate: 5.00 EUR up to 2 km.
Extra costs:
- 1.00 EUR/piece of bulky luggage
- 1.50 EUR for non-cash payments
- 0.50 EUR extra for a ride from Tegel Airport
- 5.00 EUR/person for a group of 5 people or more in a large-capacity taxi
